Danske Bank wanted to create a workplace that balanced openness with the need for quiet, focused spaces. As part of a broader shift toward hybrid working, their Copenhagen office required soft architecture that could define zones without building permanent walls.
The interior design team turned to NaughtOne’s Pullman range to help create privacy, comfort, and acoustic support—delivering spaces that feel calm, enclosed, and human in scale.

The brief required spaces for confidential conversations and independent work, but without sacrificing the collaborative feel of an open-plan layout. Traditional meeting rooms weren’t always the answer—what was needed were furniture-based solutions that could create enclosed moments without the cost or rigidity of built-in architecture. Durability, sound control, and the ability to integrate with existing tech and lighting were also key requirements.
Pullman Booths and Pullman Chairs offered the perfect middle ground. Their high backs and winged sides naturally reduce noise and visual distractions, while upholstered finishes and integrated power options add comfort and functionality. The booths act as self-contained spaces for focused work or one-on-one meetings, while the chairs provide a lighter-weight solution for moments of retreat within larger, open spaces. Together, they create a more agile office—designed around how people really work.
“The Pullman Chairs have achieved the perfect balance between comfort, privacy and transparency, and are tailored to fit the client’s specific brief and colour palette. We hear, anecdotally, that they’ve become the most popular place to meet in the building.”
