Working as an integral part of the Head Office teams based in Knaresborough, the Office Administrator will provide a variety of administrative tasks with specific responsibility for responding effectively and efficiently in supporting the Office Manager, the Customer Care team, HR and our IT Process Manager.

Responsibilities 

  • Reception duties including welcoming visitors, first point of contact in answering incoming calls and the transfer of internal and external calls
  • Deal with routine enquiries either by telephone or via e-mail in a professional and helpful way
  • Support the Office Manager as required
  • Assist the Customer Care department with the processing of orders and responding to telephone and e-mail enquiries
  • Support HR by liaising with our IT provider to set up new user accounts and to ensure all users have continued access to the system
  • General administration duties including filing, photocopying and scanning
  • Book travel, accommodation meeting rooms and refreshments as required
  • Processing of internal and external mail
  • Assist with the purchase of office supplies and equipment
  • Establish, maintain and update office manuals and computer records, files and correspondence
  • Co-ordinate mobile communication requirements across the company including ordering new equipment, SIM cards etc
  • Act as support for the Office Manager with respect to facilities for all sites, e.g. arranging for minor works, fire alarm testing and health and safety checks

Person Profile

Good standard of general education including GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or higher

You will report in directly to the Office Manager.

  • Full-time permanent position
  • Working hours TBC, either 8.30 am – 5pm or 9am – 5.30pm
  • Annual salary c£14-18k
  • Group Personal Pension Scheme Membership – 3% Employer contribution rising to 4% in April 2019
  • 24 days holiday per annum in addition to usual bank holidays
