As part of the Procurement team, you will be act as the conduit across the wider operations team in naughtone. You will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on order movements as well as daily functional administrative tasks. Working as part of a team of six and as part of Operations, you will be part of the team ensuring the delivery of a first-class Customer experience and meeting business demands of an on-time-in-full delivery to our customers.

Responsibilities /  key deliverables

  • Ensure that procedural routines required by the business are clearly followed to maintain data integrity including completion of checklists and compilation of business measures to monitor process improvement
  • Re-schedule and communicate internal production orders changes
  • Approval of short lead time orders
  • Controlling the production order cancellation process
  • Communicating customer order delays to the wider operations team
  • Checking stock availability for movements between sites
  • Managing the warehouse and procurement shortage process and forming & delivering the appropriate solution
  • Daily & weekly reporting on capacity levels at both sites to ensure OTIF
  • Updating componentry price lists; ensuring stock keeping units are accurately maintained; other departmental record keeping
  • Compile & distribute daily, weekly & monthly internal reports


Core Competencies

  • Educated to GCSE standard as a minimum with Maths & English
  • Previous experience in a procurement or production planning role ideally gained in manufacturing
  • Possesses the desire to deliver an exceptional customer experience both internally and externally
  • Be decisive, pro-active and assertive;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Effective communicator – Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong IT skills in MS Office and MS Dynamics NAV
  • Organised & methodical

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy


Dimension of the role

Reporting to the Supplier Development Manager, this full-time role is based in the Knaresborough office but in the current climate you may be required to work from home.  The role is part of the Procurement team and the successful applicant will work alongside colleagues across the operations team to ensure that any issues which may impact a customer order are escalated and managed as early as possible within the process.
