Agile, Effortless Functionality for Google’s Workspace

The Vision

Google’s workspaces are known for blending functionality with playful, people-first design. For this project, the goal was to support a wide variety of work settings with furniture that could flex between uses—encouraging creativity without adding clutter.

The NaughtOne team supplied Trace tables and Pinch stools to help create collaborative zones that feel informal, approachable, and highly adaptable.

The Challenge

Furniture had to support fast-paced, ever-changing team dynamics, with pieces that could move easily, stand up to regular use, and feel at home in Google’s vibrant interiors. Simplicity, performance, and design clarity were essential—without anything feeling overly designed or overly permanent. The furniture also had to contribute to a strong visual identity while performing quietly in the background.

The Solution

Trace tables brought lightweight durability and strong architectural lines to the space—easy to reconfigure for small group huddles or ad hoc meetings. The paired Pinch stools offered comfortable, portable seating with a soft sculptural form that fits into even the most compact spaces. Together, they offered a toolkit for movement, flexibility, and creative thinking—ideal for a workplace where collaboration is constant.
