Lohja Secondary School in Finland needed a flexible, user-centred learning space—one that supported both independent study and group interaction without forcing students or teachers to adapt their behaviours. Kohe Architects and KT Interior Oy were tasked with sourcing furniture that reflected this philosophy, blending comfort, mobility, and durability.
NaughtOne’s Pippin lounge chair, designed by Lucy Kurrein, was chosen for its playful design, portability, and ability to support the school’s dynamic teaching environment.
In high-traffic educational settings, durability is essential—furniture must withstand everyday wear, spontaneous movement, and active use by students. The client even requested physical testing before committing to a purchase. Beyond strength, visibility and flexibility were critical. The space needed to remain open and unobstructed, allowing clear sightlines and easy movement between zones—without fixed layouts or bulky furniture.
Pippin met every requirement. With a cupped, comfortable seat and optional hidden wheels, students can effortlessly twist, turn, or reposition the chair to suit different tasks. A distinctive handle strap, inspired by Dr. Martens heel tags, adds a playful, practical touch that makes moving the chair intuitive and accessible. Its sustainable construction—including zip-off covers, repairable parts, and a glue-free design—helped futureproof the space. Backed by a 10-year warranty, all 28 Pippin chairs brought lasting value, mobility, and comfort to this forward-thinking school.
“Working with NaughtOne was easy as always” said Pirre. As the chair was just launched and we didn’t have it yet in our showroom, so we got test chair from our NaughtOne team . The end users are very happy with the chair finding it very comfortable to sit on and easy to move – it was love at first sight!”

Pippin is the moveable lounge chair with a playful cone-shaped silhouette and a comfortable cupped sit that encourages people to gather where they like and stay awhile when they do. Compact yet solid and stable, its hidden wheels and a fashion-inspired strap handle (both optional) make it easy to slide Pippin to where it’s needed. Move it, twist it, turn it – connecting has never been so much fun.
Pippin is the single-seat, cone shaped lounge chair that encourages collaboration by making it easy for people to come together. Specify with castors and handle to easily glide it where you want it. Go without castors and handle and you have a distinctive lounge chair that adds personality and purpose to a space. The silhouette isn’t just for show. Sink in and the back rest naturally encourages your shoulders to open – body language that says ‘let’s connect’.
