Like many businesses, we do routine stock takes and on a recent check at our UK factory we found some obsolete stock.
We challenge ourselves to always think about how we can make more sustainable choices, so instead of simply sending it to landfill, we asked: what’s a better way to dispose of these materials?
We found a local company who take a circular approach, sorting and segregating every skip so more can be recycled or reused. What’s left is converted into Refuse‑Derived Fuel (RDF) – turning would‑be waste into energy for power plants.
It’s a great solution, and an important reminder of how the circular economy depends on smart businesses coming up with good ideas to help other businesses do less harm to the planet.
