Spacelnvader have recently designed the new temporary headquarters for AstraZeneca in Cambridge. The da Vinci building in Melbourn Science Park will be the workplace for nearly 2000 members of staff.

The flexible working environment was created by Spacelnvader’s Manchester-based workplace consultants and the furniture was procured by Overbury. Our Riley pull up table has fitted in to this project perfectly as the employees no longer have allocated work stations. The Riley table is the perfect height to slip over chairs and sofas and is relatively lightweight meaning employees can move it around with ease.

Around the building there are large collaborative workspaces where staff are able to sit and brainstorm: pieces from the Portion range have been used in these spaces topped by bespoke cushions we made for this project. Pollen tables and stools are also present in these areas.

Hush low chairs with Trace coffee tables are used around the workspace as well as Frog tables with oak veneer tops and black frames. Pinch stools upholstered in two tone fabric have also been chosen for this innovative flexible workspace.
