Furniture Designer Localises Manufacture for APMEA Market

Furniture designer, NaughtOne, have begun locally manufacturing two bestselling product ranges for the APMEA market.

NaughtOne were founded in 2005 in the heart of Yorkshire, UK and later joined the MillerKnoll collective in 2019. The business ethos was and remains; to design beautifully simple pieces which can withstand time, trends and wear, and are renowned for quality upholstery, ethically and sustainably sourced materials, and extensive colour, fabric and finish options.

Since their inception, NaughtOne have upheld a steadfast commitment to sustainability, honing their design and manufacturing process with each product designed, to reduce their impact on the environment. They keep all production local where possible, reducing carbon footprint and product miles travelled.

NaughtOne Managing Director, Nadean McNaught, added “Our focus is to support new and existing customers. By manufacturing locally, we aim to positively impact the region, improve lead times and reduce carbon emissions”.

Two of NaughtOne’s bestselling chairs, Always and Always Lounge, are the first products in the NaughtOne range to be produced locally. The Always chair holds space as a highly engineered form that feels as good as it looks and is a great fit for education, breakout and hospitality spaces. As part of the same family, the Always Lounge chair looks particularly at ease in foyer areas, thanks to its welcoming structure. Following the success of these ranges in the APMEA market, the popular Pullman, Dalby, Polly, Viv, Hue, Symbol and Hatch ranges will also begin local production in Asia over the coming months.

The full range of NaughtOne products continues to be available to order, serviced from the UK. More information about NaughtOne’s brand, extensive product range and sustainability goals can be found on their website.
