We think that furniture should be simple, useful and lovely to look at – it’s a philosophy that goes right back to our beginning.
Sustainability has guided how we think and behave since day one.
We started small, working with local suppliers, and grew into a global company with manufacturing partners on three continents. Sustainability stayed with us the whole way.
We bet early on longevity, because products that last are inherently more sustainable, and we backed it with a warranty that grew from three years to ten. In 2015 we began publishing Environmental Product Summaries for every product, and by 2016 we’d achieved FISP, FSC and ISO 14001 certification. We were early to all of it, and we haven’t stopped. We practise what we preach. Our head office in Harrogate, UK, is custom-designed around how we work, so our team lives with our furniture every day and experiences it the way our customers do.
Yorkshire, UK, has been our home since the beginning, and Norquest House is where the making happens for many of our customers. Production, R&D and warehousing sit under one roof, with a Custom Studio for bespoke work and space for visitors to watch it all come together.
Part showroom, part creative studio. Our global flagship in Clerkenwell is a place to see our furniture properly, and somewhere interior designers can drop in to borrow a little inspiration.
Our Chicago showroom sits in the heart of the city’s Fulton Market design district and is built for specifiers as a place to rediscover creativity. Test the sit, explore the solutions, and then get hands-on in the materials studio.
New York moves fast, NaughtOne NYC helps you slow down. On floor 13 of MillerKnoll’s showrooms at 251 Park Avenue South, designers can sit, slouch and perch their way through our designs, explore colour and materiality, and find space to get new ideas.
The office away from the office. At Material Source Studio in Manchester, architects and designers come to work, so they get to live with our furniture, not just look at it. Pull up a chair for the day, or take a more traditional look around the showroom.
