Manufacturing closer to our customers is better for them and better for the planet. Customers benefit from reduced lead times and lower prices, and we’re able to cut carbon emissions associated with freight.
So we’re really happy to say that in addition to the UK and the US, we’re now also manufacturing our Hatch and Symbol Modular Seating ranges in China.
For customers in APMEA this means lead times are cut to just 25 days when using seven locally sourced textiles. A further 52 textiles are available on a 45-day lead time. Hatch and Symbol can be specified with solid oak and walnut legs and for the metal bases there is a choice of 16 RAL colours.
Six of our product ranges are now manufactured by trusted partners in India and China. We work really closely with them to make sure NaughtOne products are of the same superior quality wherever in the world they’re made.
Earlier this year we published our Sustainability Report which sets out steps we’re taking to minimise the harm we do to the planet. Localisation is a crucial strategy in our 2030 goal to reduce freight emissions to APMEA by 50%.
Today, if a customer in Bangalore, India, ordered a Hatch it would be manufactured and shipped from China, achieving a 38% reduction in carbon emissions and 40% reduction in miles travelled compared to the equivalent journey from our factory in Yorkshire, UK.
The following product ranges are now manufactured in Asia.
The full range of NaughtOne products continue to be available to order from the UK.
