2018 all wrapped up

2018 has been another big year for NaughtOne, full of growth and exciting product launches that includes our most comprehensive seating range to date.
Beautifully engineered four and five star bases for Polly and Viv, along with the launch of the fully upholstered Fiji lounge chair has enhanced the family aesthetic of NaughtOne products, that work seamlessly together across varied demands and activities.

In November, the much loved Fiji chair was placed as a finalist in the Contract Seating / Lounge category of Interior Design Best of Year Awards 2018, following a flurry of votes from the global design community.

NaughtOne was also named as the Telegraph’s Fastest Growing British Export SME 2018, placed number 81 in the Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 and shortlisted for Manufacturer of the Year in the Mixology Awards, both North and South.

For Clerkenwell Design Week and Neocon 2018, the NaughtOne showrooms had a complete redesign, with new products being showcased in a selection of vibrant and up to date fabric choices, that have impressed our visitors not only at the event, but throughout the rest of the year.

We have stayed true to our no nonsense, honest approach to design, without being fashion focussed, meaning our products are timeless without being bound to one application.

The NaughtOne team has been stuck in with charity fundraising through 2018, with Directors Kieron Bakewell and Matt Welsh taking part in the Virgin Strive Challenge alongside other entrepreneurs, raising £15000 for Big Change; a charity that invests in big ideas that help young people thrive in life.

Meanwhile, other members of the NaughtOne team took part in the UK’s biggest corporate sleep out event, Byte Night and raised £4500 for Action for Children, whilst the whole team has raised £1500 for Leeds Neonatal Unit. This Christmas, our skilled sewing team made 200 dog beds of various sizes, that have been donated to the RSPCA and Dogs Trust, to keep the dogs warm through winter.

The entire team at NaughtOne, who are based across the world, are passionate about design and maintaining the excellent quality of our products, and we love to see images of our products ‘in the wild’. We’ve been part of many brilliant projects through 2018, but here are our top 5.
