Designed by Herman Miller
Herman Miller’s regional office and showroom at Marina Plaza, Dubai, was conceived as a living example of the company’s design philosophy — a space that embodies innovation, functionality, and human-centred thinking. More than just a workplace, it serves as a vibrant hub for dealers, customers, and the wider design community to connect, collaborate, and experience Herman Miller’s products in action.
The intention was to create an environment that tells a story — one that demonstrates how thoughtful design can inspire better ways of working. Every element of the space reflects the company’s commitment to creating meaningful experiences that are both beautiful and purposeful.

Designing a space that simultaneously operates as a working office, a client destination, and a living showroom required careful planning and a deep understanding of how people use space. The environment needed to function seamlessly for Herman Miller’s own team while remaining flexible enough to host visitors, showcase products, and demonstrate innovative workplace concepts in real time.
Another challenge lay in creating an atmosphere that felt authentic — not staged. Every zone needed to feel lived-in, adaptable, and relevant to modern ways of working. The furniture and layout had to support a wide variety of uses, from focused individual work to social interaction and spontaneous collaboration. The Dubai showroom also needed to reflect the global brand’s design excellence while embracing local culture and aesthetics, resulting in a warm, welcoming space that resonates across audiences.
To achieve this balance, Herman Miller turned to NaughtOne’s versatile furniture collection to create a flexible and inspiring interior. Products such as Ruby, Hatch, Polly, Always Lounge, Pinch, Lasso, and the Pullman Chair were carefully selected to bring comfort, personality, and functionality into the space. Each piece plays a distinct role — from providing relaxed meeting settings to offering private, focused areas for individual work.
The mix of textures, materials, and colours complements the architectural clarity of the showroom, while the adaptability of NaughtOne’s designs enables easy reconfiguration as needs evolve. Together, the furnishings form a fluid, modern environment that celebrates the art of collaboration and experimentation. The result is a space that not only represents Herman Miller’s design ethos but also invites everyone who enters to experience the future of the workplace firsthand.
